Developing these skills is the corner stone of the education we offer. Students will have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow

We strive to be committed to the students we are privileged to serve, in our alumni association, our dedicated, talented faculty and staff. We also take pride in having the most active and helpful group of partners, visionary parents, well-wishers, alumni and friends.

Our History

My journey in the company of colleagues like Mrs Peprah, Theresa (U.S.A) and Mrs Acquah (Italy) (all from Accra Bishop School) to Nigeria, specifically to the University of Lagos Staff School could easily be taken as one in search of greener pastures, but the stint there, teaming up with great teachers like Mrs. Quartey, Mrs. Ajayi, Mrs. Oretuga, and especially Mrs. Ofonagoro (then the Headmistress) sparked off the vision for The Vision School.

This period out there could also be called the gestation period as the zeal for this lifelong dream of offering a more comprehensive education to children grew by the day.

Many lifelong dreams pass off as fantasies especially when formed during the young age bracket, so with hindsight I can say that whatever happened in this dream journey to the present has been taken as a learning process to build on.

The insatiable thirst for job satisfaction in other ventures, in spite of the lavish remuneration on my return confirms that teaching is an innate tendency.

Dwelling on the Biblical verse ” faith without works is dead”, a move was made to start the Preschool department of The Vision School. The start was not devoid of challenges. A two- room block and a wooden shed to house the toddlers became available by the Grace of God through the help of my good friend and brother Mr. Otibu of Otifac.

After going round with fliers and brochures to the nearby environs on Sundays after Church, the school started on 4th of May 2000. It was so tasking as all materials and teaching aids were prepared with all I had on hand. Financing any idea was very crucial but the ability to improvise made every goal achievable.

There is a way when there is a will. Four children were registered from the start and a little at a time, the vision grew in an all-round manner, population, staff, materials etc. Thanks to Mrs. Sarah Wood of Manna School who readily helped with the basic furnishing of the colourful chairs for the start. In the year 2002, the school was registered with the Ghana Education Service.

The first phase of the permanent building of the school started. The sod was cut by Pastor Odei of Christian Mission. The building process of the first phase was very difficult as accessing financial help from the banks was crucial, but the then manager of the Dansoman Agricultural Development Bank, Mrs Bannerman was of immense help with the doling out of little overdraft facilities made available for the project. Gradually the first floor of the left wing was completed. Her successor, Mr. Duke Osei- Kuffour and our able credit officer, Mr. Benard Donkor have all been very supportive of our cause.

By Divine order, the school was blessed with a crop of loyal parents who stood committed to the vision in diverse ways. It is worth mentioning Mr. Zakari who donated immensely from his block factory towards the construction of the second floor of the middle wing and also Mrs. Tonia Alabi who gave off her best in her spare time teaching Literature to our older children. Mr Siaw of High Level Construction Company took up the construction along the line and he also connected the school to a building materials company, Azure, who gave materials on credit for the construction of the upper primary floor.

Virtually like every other venture, The Vision School’s journey to the present has had its fair share of challenges but notwithstanding, faith and hope in the Almighty God has always made a way when any hitch was encountered.

In fulfillment of the Almighty’s promise “every expectation of The Vision School has never been cut off,” because “God never alters any of His promises and never breaks His covenants” of crowning every effort with blessing.

The Vision School has enjoyed continued progress since its inception to the present.

Praise the Lord!
